“Caike expresses himself musically with remarkable intensity; his strength in art lies between apotheotic melodic constructions, striking beats, and minimalist percussiveness. The Brazilian legend conquered great labels such as Hiato Music, Decoded Music, Prisma Techno, Ciccada Records, Prototype Records, and Fluxo Records, and continues to follow an active path in his career.

With so many positive aspects around his artistic persona, Caike has been supported by expressive names such as Argy (Afterlife / Upperground), Korolova (Armada Music / Radikon / Tomorrowland Music), Magdalena (Diynamic), Kasia (Drumcode/ Oddity), Binaryh (Afterlife / Hiato Music / Decoded), DJ Zac (Warung Beach Club / Fluxo / Amazon), BLANCAh (Renaissance Recordings / Hiato Music) and MANDY on Get Physical Radio Show. On May 31st, we’re heading back to our beloved Carousel to celebrate three years of unforgettable nights, deep connection, and lots of dancing.

We’re beyond excited to welcome a very special guest: M.O.S., the incredible duo behind some of our favourite releases on Anjunadeep, Melody of the Soul, and All Day I Dream. Their sound is pure magic, deep, emotional, and totally transportive, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

It wouldn’t be a Templum night without some of our own: Alexez and Nadine B repping the core crew, plus local legends Mredrollo and Facundo Navarro bringing that progressive fire.

Let’s do what we do best and lose ourselves in the music together and mark 3 years of Templum the way we know best, connecting on the dance floor!

June kicks off in style with an array of local talent: past, present & future groove slingers. A bittersweet headline is on the cards as we wish farewell to one of our precious selectors & studio fanatic as she’s sandwiched between two disc jockeys who know their way around the booth.

Alice Burcovich takes her final ride on the horse before she departs on a journey across the seas, towards the land where musical memories are created. Alice has been a key figure within our local talent, soaring through the ranks and continuing to perform at all levels. Her productions are making waves across the industry, we trust she’ll deliver an astounding set. 

Ben Pailas returns to the horse for another round in the ring, a trusty selector with one of the deepest bags we know, Ben is sure to warm things up in style before the Queen herself takes over. A staple selector for us throughout the years, we welcome him back with open arms. Hickzsy jumps on board for a solo close of the ages, a talented individual who has lost his brother from another mother, Hickzsy is the man for the job and we’re eager to hear what he’s got.

As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with After Dark’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.

Kerry Wallace & Kemba pair up for a defining set of house. Two individuals heavily intertwined within our oasis of groove battle it out for top honors of who played the steeziest tune. They’ll combine forces, throw their best tracks down, and live up to an evening where sonic goodness is the only thing that matters.
They’ll be joined by 2 standing ovation worthy duos; Marley Sherman & Le Brond gear up for a heavy session of slingin’ records into the early hours of Monday morning. These veterans have a complete arsenal of underground weapons sure to keep you dancing until the sun comes up. Dan Baartz & CLËMM reunite within the walls of Carousel, a systematic duo that resonates across the scene, pair up for a special session inside the booth.

June 22nd sees us get roughed up as we put on a showcase of the dubious duo of Brazilians: Raw. They’ll take the night to great heights with their eclectic stance on regional rhythms, highlighted & defined by their unique approach to house, tech & electro. Rounding out the bill sees two, young front runners return to Carousel for a night in the booth.

Raw have been industry staples for quite some time now, their love for the craft has seen them travel throughout Australia, and play at almost every gig within our local area. Their unique flavours & love for records further shows their dedication to the craft, and with each time they return to the stable, they never fail to deliver.

The Brazilians will be joined by two selectors filled with drive, passion, and further love for records. Symplicit receives a warm welcome as he sets foot back in the booth. The record collector has been digging out gems for quite some time now, and has an ear for electric flavours that spill out throughout grooves he presents. Mr Yu returns to Carousel to set the stage for Raw, a hearty individual with a sweet tooth for groove, Mr Yu will put on a dashing display of his latest digs.

June wraps things up in fine minimalistic groove ridden fashion! World class Romanian: Mihai Pol returns to Australian shores and saddles up on the horse once again for another session in the stables, whilst Sydney’s minimalistic present & future groovers get going in fine style.

Romanian Mihai Pol has been hard at work in the scene for many years now, a back catalogue spanning never ending vinyl releases, and a presence behind the decks that have taken him all across the world. He’s a fan favourite wherever he goes, and we’re thrilled to have him back once again. His last shin-dig with us was in the back-end of 2023, where he took control of Oxford Art Factory for 3 hours of power. This time, we’re sure he’ll deliver an outrageously good time!

Venda steps in for the direct support role in the early hours of the night, a true maestro in the Sydney scene with his work receiving global recognition, notably at Sunwaves and by some of the biggest names in our scene. His back catalogue features a remix from Mihai Pol, so the chemistry throughout the night will be seamless. Tyler Hudson steps in to close with a selection of tight, groove-driven cuts. A familiar face behind the Carousel decks, expect a refined, dancefloor-focused finale to the night.
