The new month welcomes in a new wave of talent, not only behind the booth, but also behind the bookings. Starting in July, S.A.S.H is switching up the way we operate by inviting down a Guest Booker to program the entire month of our weekly S.A.S.H events. 

For the second week of this fine month, Bligs has invited down Carlo Gambino to take control of the platters that matter and step into the bold print. Surrounding him, Josh Haiez has been tasked with that late night session, taking us to a close in the wee hours of Monday morning, with Oscar Landa getting his trot on for the warmup. Rounding out the lineup, as always we have our competition winner for the week in at early doors to power on the gear and roll out the first down-lo, go-slo deep house tunes. This week’s competition winner is Dodz, get down early and show him some support!

As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with After Dark’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.

On his third week in the hot seat Bligs has taken full advantage of the tour schedule of one of our favourite DJs and Producers and set them up for a tantalising 4 hour session going b2b with Kleo. This Secret Savant is sure to shock the socks right off you, keep your eyes and ears peeled. 

Well equipped for the important slots, Bligs himself will be ensuring these two rambunctious rapscallions have done their stretches and warmed up their hamstrings appropriately before they step into the mammoth set. The competition winner slot this week belongs to our very own Loz. Tireless on the dancefloor, and fearless on the door, she’s trading in both to come on down and get first gears turning and churning from 9pm.

Right smack bang in the middle of Winter we’re strapping into our boots and keep warm inside the walls of Carousel. Partnering up with some of the finest young promoters this city has to offer, we’ve invited down the lads from Sense to host the night alongside us. 

An earnest affair deserves some serious stakeholders and there are few juicier steaks in the minimal scene than the revered Nu Zau. As an artist, Nu Zau is one of the foremost leading producers and DJ’s to have come out of Romania's electronic scene in the last decade few years. As a DJ he seamlessly blends through old-school records and new-wave productions alike, crossing borders both sonically and physically, inspiring people across the globe.

On support for the rambunctious Romanian, Tyson Bruun & Lachie Simpson twist, turn, duck, dip, dive and dodge their way into the wee hours of the morning. Curating the late-night, underground sounds that keep the soles of your shoes so firmly gripped to the floor. Tasked with the ask of warming the fine floor, a troublesome trio has stripped back their senses (pun very much intended) and let their muscle untense… Anima, Ameer Mikhael, & Ryan Kabaara go Bonk 2 Tonk 2 Honk to slide in those silky smooth grooves and make your body move.

The news is out; we’re digging our heels in deep and getting the band back together again. It’s a god-damn, wam-bam, abra Cadabra & alakazam magic show; and there’s no crew better for magically appearing through the doors, than our dear friends from down south, Four On The Floor. 

As their residents Myndgame & Will Kors set their sights north to take charge of the late-night session, bringing us to a close, our very own Kerry Wallace saddles up and straps in to get the mood set, and warm the waters of the early evening. 

Riding in atop his high horse and taking charge of the platters that matter, Jay Tripwire is a DJ and his craft goes back to when every party was vinyl only and there was no sync button, an ethos still to this day Jay adheres to.

His finely crafted extended sets deviate from the norm and as a DJ he encompasses a very wide range of underground music, and decades of digging for music to which his ears, neck and back have taken a serious beating from shows in how he walks with a swagger.

Jay prepares extensively for every set of gigs with his personally crafted re edits to match his signature style of long, drawn-out blends create a rich tapestry of audio, where it’s not easy to tell where one song starts and the other ends.

Rolling into August, and things are starting to heat up. Just like in July, the new month welcomes in some fresh faces, both in the booth and the bookings. Cassette is one of our nearest and dearest, and one of the longest-running DJs still strutting her stuff in the Sydney and wider Oceanic scene. She’s been put in charge of the local programming for the 5 weeks of August and will also be donning her Sunday best, swinging on in to host each week for S.A.S.H By Night at Carousel. 

Her first week in the spreadsheets sees Lili Joy in the bold print. Recently returned from her adventures overseas, and simultaneously lining up with her birthday, she sits comfortably atop the bill for this first Sunday in August. Joy by name, joy by nature, Lili knows how to throw down a groove or two, it’s nothing but smiles on the dial when she steps into the booth. Sandwiched in good company, she’s breaded on either side by Cassette, taking charge of the warmer flavours and early hours of the night; with Jimmy Galvin & Alex Dowsing looming large & loud for the late-night session. Rounding out the lineup, Jett Heilig is our competition winner for the week, tasked with setting the tone from 9pm, with the down-lo, go-slow, deeper, house grooves.

June wraps things up in fine minimalistic groove ridden fashion! World class Romanian: Mihai Pol returns to Australian shores and saddles up on the horse once again for another session in the stables, whilst Sydney’s minimalistic present & future groovers get going in fine style.

Romanian Mihai Pol has been hard at work in the scene for many years now, a back catalogue spanning never ending vinyl releases, and a presence behind the decks that have taken him all across the world. He’s a fan favourite wherever he goes, and we’re thrilled to have him back once again. His last shin-dig with us was in the back-end of 2023, where he took control of Oxford Art Factory for 3 hours of power. This time, we’re sure he’ll deliver an outrageously good time!

Tyson Bruun is the man charged with setting the tone and warming the floor. A true stalwart of the minimal scene in Sydney, with a selection of tight, groove-driven cuts.   A familiar face behind the booth for S.A.S.H, expect a refined, dancefloor-focused orientation to the night. Venda steps in to the close, a true maestro in the Sydney scene with his work receiving global recognition, notably at Sunwaves and by some of the biggest names in our scene. His back catalogue features a remix from Mihai Pol, so the chemistry throughout the night will be seamless.

ANAME (Anjunabeats) are coming to Sydney for an exclusive show, revered for a desire and passion to explore the deeper shades of house and techno.

anamē: Old Norse, meaning: to adapt

Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Swede and the Norwegian bonded over a shared love of artists (Sasha or early Tiësto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas.

As family life, academic studies, and new homes in different countries threatened to separate them, their old connection drew them back together. In 2022, the anamē adventure began on Anjunabeats. The duo crafted an emotive collaboration with Above & Beyond and Marty Longstaff on ‘Gratitude’, worked with BLR and Robbie Rise on club anthem ‘Influencer’, and reworked a pair of classics in Lostep’s ‘Burma’, and ‘Tears From The Moon’ by Conjure One and Sinéad O’Connor.

Most recently, the pair remixed Kyan’s ‘Lonely River’ alongside A&B’s Paavo Siljamäki in his P.O.S guise, collaborating again with Paavo on ‘Good People’ for his ‘Deeper Tales’ album. Their debut album ‘Beautiful World’, featuring the singles ‘Anywhere (Road Trippin’), ‘Someone We Used To Love’ and ‘Must Be Dreaming’, released September 1 on Anjunabeats.

Kicking off June 13, we’re breaking boundaries by featuring world-class global sound artists from outside Australia, setting a whole new standard for the scene.

Our first guest is none other than MISTAH CEE – a Sydney local icon, crowd-mover, and one of the most respected names in the game. His energy, taste, and love for the culture set the tone for what Global Sounds is all about.

June kicks off in style with an array of local talent: past, present & future groove slingers. A bittersweet headline is on the cards as we wish farewell to one of our precious selectors & studio fanatic as she’s sandwiched between two disc jockeys who know their way around the booth.

Alice Burcovich takes her final ride on the horse before she departs on a journey across the seas, towards the land where musical memories are created. Alice has been a key figure within our local talent, soaring through the ranks and continuing to perform at all levels. Her productions are making waves across the industry, we trust she’ll deliver an astounding set. 

Ben Pailas returns to the horse for another round in the ring, a trusty selector with one of the deepest bags we know, Ben is sure to warm things up in style before the Queen herself takes over. A staple selector for us throughout the years, we welcome him back with open arms. Hickzsy jumps on board for a solo close of the ages, a talented individual who has lost his brother from another mother, Hickzsy is the man for the job and we’re eager to hear what he’s got.

As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with After Dark’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.

On May 31st, we’re heading back to our beloved Carousel to celebrate three years of unforgettable nights, deep connection, and lots of dancing.

We’re beyond excited to welcome a very special guest: M.O.S., the incredible duo behind some of our favourite releases on Anjunadeep, Melody of the Soul, and All Day I Dream. Their sound is pure magic, deep, emotional, and totally transportive, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

It wouldn’t be a Templum night without some of our own: Alexez and Nadine B repping the core crew, plus local legends Mredrollo and Facundo Navarro bringing that progressive fire.

“Caike expresses himself musically with remarkable intensity; his strength in art lies between apotheotic melodic constructions, striking beats, and minimalist percussiveness. The Brazilian legend conquered great labels such as Hiato Music, Decoded Music, Prisma Techno, Ciccada Records, Prototype Records, and Fluxo Records, and continues to follow an active path in his career.

With so many positive aspects around his artistic persona, Caike has been supported by expressive names such as Argy (Afterlife / Upperground), Korolova (Armada Music / Radikon / Tomorrowland Music), Magdalena (Diynamic), Kasia (Drumcode/ Oddity), Binaryh (Afterlife / Hiato Music / Decoded), DJ Zac (Warung Beach Club / Fluxo / Amazon), BLANCAh (Renaissance Recordings / Hiato Music) and MANDY on Get Physical Radio Show. It wouldn’t be true S.A.S.H style if we didn’t throw a secret guest into the mix. Round 4 and we’ve hit all the bases, and we’re just getting started. A masked magician wrapped in between two brothers from separate mothers, a night or pure delight in on the menu and we’re eager to dig in.

Our mystery marvel is most definitely secretive, and there’s no other day of the week we would rather place them on. Who are they, and what do they have in store for us? They’ll seductively select & perfectly perform, all we can say is they’re the best of the best. SS+

Bligs is back in the saddle, ready for a bridge of big bombs behind the booth. He’s a staple choice when it comes to solid selectors, and he’s done nothing but show up, deliver & dress to impress when he’s in our midst. If he isn’t out gigging, he’s hidden himself deep into his studio & thrown away the key. Much like Bligs but on a youthful tip, Ufday returns to the saddle for a solo session in Carousel. With previous efforts seeing him join forces with like minded industry heads, Ufday is ready to take the reins and solidify his position as one of the scene's best.

P&F Presents: DOOZIE SELECTA RELEASE PARTY FT Chris Gialanze (UK) *FINAL RELEASE*

BassHaven Volume 002 has landed and once again returning to the Carousel on May 23rd - bringing a night of deep energy and serious heat. Headlining this special occasion is Melbourne’s William Kiss, a producer and DJ obsessed with deep-cut grooves and pure rhythm, known for his heavy percussive energy and main floor driven sound. Joining alongside him is Caleb Jackson, a prolific artist carving his own lane with energetic, genre-blending sets rooted with psychedelic house and percussion-driven flows. 

At pace of these two, Sydney's own Deaf Toucan joins us once again - a brotherly duo blending 90s house and techno with a swung, groovy touch. Supporting this stacked lineup are two of Sydney’s established talents, Jaquel and Silly Lilly, setting the tone throughout the night with high energy, genre-spanning sounds built to ignite the floor. 

Expect a night that moves fast, hits deep, and stays with you.

We’re back again and ready to rumble for round 3! Our first international guest makes an appearance within Carousel… A selector for all the diggers, Ferro is the man of the hour, ready to showcase all the weird & wonderful creations he’s been working on. An illusive showcase of locals rounds the evening out, alongside yet another fresh face to open things up.

Like most Dutch exports, they’re synth hungry studio stalwarts. Ferro appears no different as his one love rests within the world of underground electronic music. He’s a dedicated craftsman & frontman for Amsterdam’s VBX, Ferro is undoubtedly one of the most magical men in the industry. He’ll curate an evening of all things wacky, his unique style paving the way for a memorable time within the walls of Carousel as the clock strikes 12.

Kemba & Minh get ready to mingle as they share the booth for 2 hours of power after Ferro. They’d tango til Tuesday if they could, but they’re only here for a stint of dirty dancing. Our very own S.A.S.H egg Kemba unites with revered digger Minh to close things out after a sensational session by master Ferro. Lucca Tan saddles up for us once again as he’s settling into life up north. Initially from Melbourne, he’s curated his label with world class references, and he’s ready to take things on head first as he warms the platters for Ferro.

Round 2  sees an up & coming local originally from Melbourne showcase his signature sound that he’s worked long & hard to achieve. Sandwiched between an array of locals, the team will supply what is most certainly in demand: Tunes.
Melbourne raised yet Sydney showman, Pistaccio has made a racket with his productions in the land of the underground for quite some time now. Delicious rollers with hints of sugar & spice, his studio work has been picked up by some of the industry's front runners. Funky, housey & all things fun, Pistaccio is a name to most certainly become familiar with.
André Müller & Frans are a tasty treat wrapped in fun sized packaging. They’ve got to groove to keep things going into the early morning, and will most certainly deliver. They’re seasoned selectors who’ve played in & around Sydney for quite some time & we’re excited to have them jump back into the saddle for another night of grooves. With an impressive session last time they were in the saddle, Dingo returns for another lap around the track. A mixture of deep house, minimal & old school movers, he’s stealing babies and unknown ID’s to keep his game fresh and ready for whatever the situation may be.

With the colder months upon us, we’ve decided to establish ourselves a nice & cosy fireplace within the walls of Carousel. There’s deep grooves at the ready, specials throughout the season, and a stacked bunch of classy locals tasked with supplying the fun.

Our first installment sees one of our national treasures take stage, as we offer a warm welcome for her return to Sydney. An esteemed DJ & well respected selector, Danni B steps into the spotlight to deliver her signature sound, which she’s been dishing out at clubs & warehouses across the country. A reputable name within our humble scene, Danni B is one the finest to ever do it here.

Ben Horton takes stage for his last hoorah as he’s heard a who on the other side of the world. A revered local, Ben has been hard at work in the studio, and his efforts have paid off. He’s seen support from industry giants such as Chris Stussy & Josh Baker to name a few, so with Amsterdam calling his name, Ben’s ready to rumble with the uncharted waters across the globe. Mof & Ronan step in to bring us to midnight, the dynamic duo have made a ruckus in & around Sydney. Their laid back attitude & quality cold cuts has solidified their position as quality young selectors, so we’re excited to bring them on board to put forward their best work.
