Priming our engines and strapping into the hot seat, we’ve invited down our good friends Half Baked London to dump the clutch and pump us hard into 6th gear. Their resident Sam Bangura is our guest of honour for this first weekend of Saturday madness. One half of the wild Brainsurfers duo – with Harry McCanna – and one third of the North South Records trio – also with Harry McCanna, and Dale Mussington – Sam is trading the North for the South and settling into Sydney with arsenal of heavy hitters in his record bag. 

He’s joined by S.A.S.H bossman Kerry Wallace, stepping up to set the scene and show us all how to properly warm a dance floor, before long-time S.A.S.H favourites and Northern Beaches Naughty-boys Persian Rug take us through the wee hours of the morning and well into the sunset session.

Week 2 of our Saturdays sits firmly and comfortably in the hands of rising Dutch star, Job De Jong. A raver at heart, Job’s passion for music can be felt in all he does. His sound is an infectious fusion of nostalgic 90s house intertwined with robust basslines and contagious melodies; all tied together with raw drum elements that are recognizably his own. Sitting at the forefront of his generation, Job’s promising career has already taken him to some of the most highly regarded venues and festivals in the worldwide circuit, performing at Studio 338 in London, Cova Santa in Ibiza, as well as Bret, Shelter, and Awakenings Festival in Amsterdam - just to name a few.

Alongside the Flying Dutchman, Joel & Friends are standing large and in charge, with their head honcho Joel Cantone & regular Nats going toe to toe, securing the early hours of the evening and settling us in before Job takes to the booth. Stacie Fields makes her return to our Stables, tasked with bringing in the morning, and seeing us through the sunset session.

Well accustomed now, the third edition of our new night of the week belongs to one of the all-time greats of the deeper side of house music, Mihai Popoviciu. Mihai is considered one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today. He started producing music in 2001 and over many years of dedication – and lots of experimenting – he developed a truly unique and signature sound. As a producer he likes to innovate and is always refining his sound palette. His flavourous DJ sets have a distinctive personal touch delivering a perfectly balanced mixture of groovy beats, warm pads and musical emotions that leave you itching for more.

For a stalwart of this stature, we had to double down, inviting along both the Jupiter X & Bass Haven crews to join forces. A collection of their residents, in the forms of Stizz, Ronan & Holmesy, are going toe to toe… to toe, locking in for a serious b3b to close out the night, with their warm sound to mirror the sunrise session. Ensuring the floor is properly warmed for our esteemed guest, Cassette is locked and loaded to roll out those early groovers, and ensure the floor is properly warmed.

Of all the artists announced so far, there are few who come close to the amount of love & engagement that our guest this week has received. Since he was first teased a couple of months back, we have been bombarded with requests about when he’s making it to Sydney. Now you have him! The Bass Jamz co-founder and all-round bad boy Gaskin one of the scenes fasting rising stars. With an adoring fan bass across the globe, and a serious backlog of high quality productions and releases to his name, he’s sure to blow the roof off the joint. We’ll be invoicing him for the repair bill after the show… 

After Hours are our local legends joining us for this fabled occasion, trading out the “after hours” for the early evening, stepping in with their residents Khobi Deep & Charlie Barber to warm the floor and get us all in the mood before Gaskin steps up to the platters that matter. Cessy makes a return to the S.A.S.H booth to close out the night and walk us through the sunset session with a hop skip and a mighty jump.

This Saturday marks the first official week of Summer - although we’re well into party season - and we’ve got an absolute Doozie of a show for you with an international DJ, Producer, Label Owner, Day dreamer, & Creature of the night.

Beamed from outer space like a cosmic pied piper, Tristan da Cunha was put on earth to make us move. A serious collector & selector with an expansive vinyl archive that has both depth and breadth across the many genres within the house & techno spectrum. His collection is only surpassed by his infectious energy behind the decks. Truly wonderful and unique, TDC is a sonic force that never fails to move the dance floor and pop the party, regardless of where or when he plays. 

PARKER & FRIENDS, in the form of bossman PARKER and resident Harry Walters, step into the booth as the local brand in charge of closing out the night. No stranger to a big stage, they’re both well equipped to take the reigns after TDC is done shelling out this arsenal. Our own Kemba joins together with Mitchell Nicholas once again to warm the floor for our esteemed guest.

Summer has set in strongly, and we’re not slowing down. Our good friends SlapFunk make the long journey across the world, bring a taste of Amsterdam to Sydney, with their resident Doudou MD in the hot seat.

Born from a Dutch classical singer/pianist player and a Congolese percussionist drummer, it comes as no surprise that the art of playing music literally runs through her veins. Her mostly vinyl sets are 90's UK/US/DE inspired, supported by strong percussion, rhythms and a spiritual touch. Always aiming to engage in a conversation with her crowd, dancing to her sets will release that inner gangster gut feeling in you. Body focused, voluptuous house and techno at its best.

The warmup for this week remains tight-lipped for the moment, with another secret brand joining forces for a secret after party that is set to stack this night beyond comprehension. It’s an all guns blazing, take no prisoners situation. S.A.S.H bossman Kerry Wallace returns this week, taking control of the sunrise set, digging deep into his arsenal of techy slapping sounds, and warm wonky rollers.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and in line with our Saturdays at Carousel we’re joining together on this one to present Santa Claus… Wait, no, we mean Dan Ghenacia!

Dan Ghenacia is the undisputed kingpin of the Paris underground scene and one of France’s hottest DJ exports, having founded and ran for seven years Freak N’ Chic and now one of the three creative minds behind new label and b2b2b DJ outfit Apollonia.

Dan’s love affair with music ignited whilst spending a year in California in his early 20’s, soaking up West Coast house and psychedelia. On his return to Paris, Dan channelled this passion into a record selling business opening his own store Traffic Records, but as a true fan of the music he didn’t just want to peddle vinyl – he wanted to play it. Quickly gaining notoriety on the Paris scene with the infamous afterparties at Batofar, it was here he honed his distinctive techno-meets-deep-house sound, at the same time inspiring a new generation of DJs and first sharing the decks with later to become lifelong friends, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky.

He's joined by bossman Kerry Wallace, linking arms and skipping in merrily alongside Alma, as they take on the opening hours. They’ll be decking the halls and warming the floor perfectly before Dan slides down the chimney. Nils Twachtmann is donning his best chimney sweep uniform as he takes control of the platters that matter for the late night sunrise session, ensuring we leave with out much of a trace, just a few crumbs and an empty glass of milk.

The last Saturday of the year welcomes back one of our favourite artists, Laidlaw. 
With firm footing in the city of London, Laidlaw has become a trailblazer with his sound - igniting dance floors with energy each and every time he steps into the booth. The world of music moves forward through consistent work from certain individuals that constantly experiment and push the boundaries of sound into the unknown, searching for a new perspective on the already existing and building new movements from the ground up. Laidlaw has shown to be one of these creatives for the new generation of party-goers. The Beeyou Co-Founder has created a movement with his brand in recent years with a heavy focus on creating the ultimate atmosphere to get lost in sound, with a string of events that have taken the UK by storm, changing the way people party.

He's taking control for an extended 5-hour set taking us right through to the end of the night and seeing us through the sunrise session. Joining him, the Scenes crew have put forward two of their residents Felix! & Shing to charge with the task of an extended 3-hour warmup, ensuring the dance floor is properly primed and ready for Laidlaw to take control. We’re in for a big one!

Having previously worked in the role on a full-time basis for S.A.S.H, there are few who understand the complexities and nuances of curating a perfect night of music quite as intuitively as The Sherm. He is responsible for discovering, nurturing and providing a platform for a vast array of Sydney’s local talent, as well as helping to bring in the international stars that we know and love. 

In the final week of Sherm's Sunday Sessions - and the last weekly S.A.S.H on Sunday before we move across to Saturday nights - we're treated to 2 hours of power from Marley himself. No stranger to a grand occasion, Sherm's a seasoned veteran when it comes to big ticket items. Whether it's intricately weaving stripped back sounds or slamming big house groovers he's got an extensive archive of party starters and deep dive charters. There's no one more fitting to see off our weekly Sundays! Joining him at the helm, NZ's Logan Baker & Jake Rattler have become Shipwrecked, leaving them beach'd as, bro, and stranded on our salty shores. We thought why not bring them in out of the cold and have them dish out the heaters to close the night. Sydney's most notorious criminals are Jaywalking their way into the warmup for the night, ensuring when Sherm takes the stage we're all properly massaged and still a little oily. Tia Lacoste is the competition winner for this week, kicking things off from 9pm. 

As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with S.A.S.H’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.

She's joined by Luca Attanasio, one of Sydney's hidden gems and rising starts in the studio - with his music being played all over the world, and recently signing with London heavyweights FUSE. Dingo makes his return to the booth, taking control of the warmer flavours and early hours in the lead up to midnight. Alioz is the competition winner for this week, setting the scene and kickstarting the night.

To get us rolling, he’s cast out his line and hooked a right catch. Suttz is our second favourite Irishman to ever walk this earthly plane, and the first name to top the bill in October. A purveyor of fine tunes, and a true digger, Jeff’s record bag has some of the classiest, wonkiest and funkiest tracks we’ve had the pleasure of hearing. He’s sandwiched between a double dose of duos, with the KNA lads trading the late show for the early evening, setting the mood and bringing the groove. On the flip side, the dynamic duo of young guns Felix! & Shing in to send us well into the wee hours of the morning. The competition winner slot for this week is awarded to MTHR.LDE, ready to roll in and get the night underway with deep lush, ambient tones, and ethereal ear candy.

With the days getting warmer, and the beginning of daylight savings just a bee's dick away, we look to the October Long Weekend to kickstart the Summer Season ahead. 

Sailing across the perilous Pacific Ocean, all the way from Brasil, we have joined forces with Rendezvous to invite a very special Secret Guest into Carousel, CLASSMATIC. 

Bringing a fresh spin to the scene, rising Brazilian house DJ and producer, Classmatic is making great moves from the underground to the international circuit. From tech house, minimal, deep house, and so much more, Classmatic is turning heads with his groovy house heaters. He has built his brand to spread good vibes and positive energy into the dancefloors. The last few years have been monumental for Classmatic’s career, thanks to his hard work producing music, building his own label, and worldwide touring. Classmatic is on the fast track to becoming a leading house artist.

Rendezvous' Corey Kennedy & Andre Muller take control of warming the floor for our Brasilian brother, with Sean Hewlett keeping the energy flowing and the vibes high to close out the night.

Like a double dose of sunshine, an extra layer of warmth and a comforting hug from mum, PARKER spreads good vibes everywhere he goes. A laid-back geezer with a true work ethic, he’s more than proven himself time and time again, as a DJ, a Producer, and a Promoter; he’s got it all. 

All good things must come to and end, but before we say farewell to PARKER, and the month of September, there’s one final Sunday session to be had. This one is headed up by our good friend SEPP. Sepp has been on the radar for quite a while now and recently things have taken flight for him. After touring extensively these past few years and getting accustomed to many cultures, he's grown and matured his sound both as a producer and a dancefloor conductor. As he moves forward and continues to delight and surprise people all around the world with his flair and precision mixing, SEPP is a name you will certainly come to hear more of in the future, but first you can hear him when he steps up to the plate on Sunday night from the stroke of 12. He’s been carefully sandwiched between the Sense-less duo C29STY x Nicholas Zarb on the warm up ting, and the far more sensible Angus Kyle ready to rumble in the jungle taking us deep into the wee hours of the morning for the close. As always, we’re kickstarted by our competition winner. This week the slot belongs to Eren Kalender, who always has a trick up his sleeve, or a potion in his pocket. 

As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with S.A.S.H’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.

They say three’s a crowd, and PARKER’s third week behind the bookings is certainly packed. Going bump to hump, he’s pitted himself and Kerry Wallace in a back-to-back for the ages; a session set to see you sweatier than priest in a playground; hotter than high horse in heat. They unshackle the chains and take the reins to steer this great beast from the stroke of midnight before handing over to Ashlea Milinkovic and Kemba throwing down the heavy hitters that give you those late-night jitters. There’s a double dose of debutants decking the halls for the earlier hours. Theodor Jasper makes his debut for the horse, sliding into the warmup for the night’s occasion, with Ghost Train duo taking the South Coast Line into the big smoke for a night on the tools as the competition winners for this week, kicking us off from 9pm.

This Saturday we welcome in our compatriots from the North, Dwaal, to join us in taking control of the night ahead with another b2b bonanza that they’re renowned for. Our special guest for the occasion is swinging on in all the way from Argentina to take charge of the platters that matter. 

With more than 20 years in the electronic music world, JORGE SAVORETTI is an iconic name in the South American scene. The close bond between Savoretti and electronic music started in 1993 when he discovered dance music at underground rave events in his hometown in Rosario, Argentina. In 1996, when he was 15 years old he quickly took up behind the turntables. Savoretti has managed to cross different bridges during his rich musical history acquiring a unique sense of versatility. He can create atmospheres as few can do, building a special bond with the dance floor.

On support for this simmer-session, Josh Haiez & Ksea go toe to toe, bro to bro, and elbow to elbow to launch us into the late-night and throw down the heavy hitters that make us wake up wondering what day it is. Venda, Ryan Kabaara & Danillo Coppaz are getting far too comfortable, cramming all three of them into the booth for an extended b3b warmup session under the Carousel lights, setting the mood, the tone and hopefully some boundaries, to ensure we’re all properly primed & warmed ahead of our guest for the night.

Coming straight off the back of a seriously strong first week of tunes, PARKER’s back once again for the renegade master, and there’s no one more accurately described as renegades than Adam Holt & Neeso. I’m sure there’s a joke about an Englishman & a Scotsman, but I can’t remember the punchline. Thankfully these gritty lads will be delivering punch after punch as they loom large in the bold print, taking control of the platters that matter from the stroke of midnight. 

When he’s not laying low working on building festivals, studios, half of the opera house, Alex Ludlow occasionally likes to get out of the house and spin some tunes. The hardest working man in house music is swapping out the tools to come along and play something cool to bring the night to a close. As if that wasn’t already enough power in the final few hours, our Brazilian brothers RaW are digging a little deeper than usual – although not too deep – to set the tone, the pace and kickstart this race. Rounding out this pounding bill, Phrenik makes his debut in our stables, claiming the competition winner’s slot for this fine Sunday soiree.

The second Saturday of Spring and we’re getting stuck right in. This time doing the dirty work with our good friend Joel… and his friends. Making their mark in Sydney’s East, Joel & his amigos have been slinging slick house grooves across the Eastern Beaches for the last couple of years, building a strong, yet intimate, gang of groovers and movers. They’re joining us this Saturday inside the wicked walls of Carousel to host our revered guest for the evening, Youandewan. 

Born in Scotland, raised in Yorkshire, and based in Berlin, Ewan has been surrounded by a surplus of inspiration for a very long time. Youandewan is known for his smooth and refined, modern approach to house music, with a focus on the deeper side of the sound. He is renowned for his intricate productions that balance mood, groove, and emotional resonance, appealing to both home listeners and discerning club crowds. From major festivals such as Houghton and Dimensions, to the more intimate club settings in Berlin & beyond, there’s but a few highly regarded spaces that the Scotsman hasn’t set foot in. 

On support for this fine occasion, Joel Cantone is charged with the task of taking over from Youandewan and marching us headfirst into the early hours of Sunday morning. With Hazza & Eliza stepping into the warmup to ensure we’re lustfully limbered, wonderfully warm, and  properly poised to 2-step into the night with Ewan. Cliffe & Mulvs are first through the door, flicking the power switches and getting the amps fired up.

Spring has sprung once again!

As September rolls in, the days grow a little longer, a little brighter and the warmth of the Sun begins to add a touch of colour that isn’t purple to our fingers and toes. Continuing our new-found tradition of inviting a Guest Booker to take control of the spreadsheets each week, our favourite ginger ninja is large and in charge this month. 

Like a double dose of sunshine, an extra layer of warmth and a comforting hug from mum, PARKER spreads good vibes everywhere he goes. A laid-back geezer with a true work ethic, he’s more than proven himself time and time again, as a DJ, a Producer, and a Promoter; he’s got it all. 

His first week in the pilot’s seat is a big one, he’s doubled down on power and invited along the boss, Monika Ross, to go heads, shoulders, knees and toe-to-toe with himself in the top slot. Two DJs who like to play it rough and tough, it’s looking likely we may have a blood bath on our hands. Expect drums that hit like Mike Tyson fresh out of prison, and basslines that will send you back to the early 2000s. Tasked with the might challenge of closing out the night after such a heavy hitting combo, the only way to go was to double down again, with diamond geezers José Bond x Stan suiting up and strapping in for the late-night session. The early hours of the evening belong to Hazza, delving deep into his repertoire of rambunctious rollers, and wickedly warm sounds, with the competition winner’s slot this week claimed by Brownie.

It feels like just only yesterday that we opened our doors, first with a private test, then with the proper launch. We were joined by some of our nearest and dearest and the scene’s most respected names, including a visit from our pal Shonky. A VERY quick year later, and Rich NxT was in da house showing us all how to properly celebrate turning 1. In the blink of an eye another year is coming to pass, and with that we are ecstatic to announce that in just over a month’s time we’re turning 2! 

To usher us into this new era we’re bringing in the big guns. Hailing from the UK, co-founder of North South Records, and a resident of the mighty Fabric London, Harry McCanna knows a thing or two about throwing down on a serious occasion. Harry has only made the long journey down under once before, for the S.A.S.H long weekend with Fabric back in January, in which he stole the show completely, putting on an absolute masterclass performance that will live in our memories until we’re old a grey. To top it all off, Harry will be gearing up and strapping himself in to the Carousel booth for an extended 5-hour set. He’ll be taking charge of the platters that matter and getting down like James Brown from the stroke of midnight, taking over from Kerry Wallace & Kemba who are in at early doors to set the mood and load up the groove as we say farewell to our wonderful ones, and welcome in our terrible twos… It’s been wild so far, but you already know we’re just getting started.

Rolling into August, and things are starting to heat up. Just like in July, the new month welcomes in some fresh faces, both in the booth and the bookings. Cassette is one of our nearest and dearest, and one of the longest-running DJs still strutting her stuff in the Sydney and wider Oceanic scene. She’s been put in charge of the local programming for the 5 weeks of August and will also be donning her Sunday best, swinging on in to host each week for S.A.S.H By Night at Carousel. 

Sunday 31st of August is the penultimate day and week of August, Winter and Cassette’s time in the driver’s seat for Cassette in the driver’s seat, and the lineup is full of Force, Fortune and Fury. With Sanchez X in the bold print, this is sure to be a Party for the People. A stellar artist in his own right and the brains (or is it the brawn?) of the event brand and duo People’s Party, there isn’t much that Aiden can’t do. He’s sitting pretty in the top slot for the night, taking control from the stroke of midnight. Our own Kerry Wallace is rolling in to ensure the entire floor, from the bar to the door, is properly warmed as we move out of the evening and well into the night, taking over from our competition winner this week, Rozo. Fortue is the fortunate soul presented with the honour of closing out the night and laying down the last tracks of our 2025 Winter season.

As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with S.A.S.H’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.

Here we go again, we’re going a level further with Mariano Mellino touching down in Sydney with support from Kasey Taylor (Melb) & Gaston Gari.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1985, Mariano began his career in electronic music at the early age of 19 under the influence of artists such as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sasha, Danny Howells among others to whom years later he would be sharing the booth with in gigs and festivals.

Mariano’s sets are balanced and full of harmonies that merge the night into a trip of sensations and experiences.

He has toured around the world, playing in countries like Germany, Holland, Belgium, Israel, India, Mexico, Spain, United States, Japan, Greece, Malta, Brasil, Hungry, Uruguay, Bolivia, Perú y Paraguay to name a few.

His productions are supported by international artists such as Hernán Cattaneo, John Digweed, Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Dubfire, Nick Warren, Nic Fanciulli, Joseph Capriati, Roger Sanchez, Paco Osuna, Guy Mantzur, Eelke Kleijn, Nick Muir, Cristoph, among others.

Some of his releases have reached the Beatport top ten in record labels of the size of Sudbeat (Argentina), Global Underground (UK), Balance Music (Australia), Tale & Tone, Darkroom Dubs (Scotland), Sprout Music (Germany), Plaisirs Sonores (Canada), Crossfrontier Audio (Germany), Plattembank (Germany), Replug Records (Finland) among others.

Rounding the mid-point and accelerating hard into the final corner of the month, Cassette’s putting the pedal to the metal and donning her Sunday best as she takes full charge of the platters that matter and top honours for the night. She’s brought in the strapping young lads of Tokyo Sexwale to see us late into the night, and well into the early morning, with Loz sliding into the warmup for the evening’s proceedings. The competition winner slot this week belongs to Hoss, after demonstrating a clear and sincere understanding of what it takes to deliver a proper and class warmup. He’ll be in to switch on the power and deliver the opening hour from 9-10pm.

The weather is already warming and the flowers are about to bloom. With just over a week to go until we say sayonara to Winter for 2025, we’re strapping in and doubling down for another serious session on the town. 

Joining forces, linking arms, and doing the Nutbush with our good pals over at Simple Things to beckon in the new season and welcome none-other than Christian Burkhardt back to Australian soil. It’s been a hot minute since we last had the pleasure of seeing Christian Burkhardt slinging slick house bombs in Sydney, so it’s our very great pleasure to welcome him back, this time bringing his new LIVE show to the Carousel booth.  

Christian Burkhardt is an artist truly absorbed with the range of sonic possibilities. A producer not content with existing within the realms of House and Techno, but one that is determined to further stretch its limits with his signature sound. A native of Heidelberg, Germany, who along with the likes of Reboot, Johnny D, Markus Fix, Ray Okpara - all from the country’s Southwest quarter - have carved out a niche revolution within House and Techno that has influenced the global electronic music community nearly as much as Detroit, Chicago, London and Berlin have in their respective years of glory.

Max Power, Rocco, & Will Collard are the Simple Things that really fill out and round out this Burkhardt sandwich. All buttered up with the glasses of milk and cookies, it really is the Simple Things in life…
